Which is better for African American hair?-------Aloe Vera Gel or Aloe Butter?

why?

Aloe Vera is excellent for hair. I would go for the butter. African American hair is usually very, very curly, and curls often get very dry, and butter will hydrate it better. Although hair can't be completely penetrated, it gets the maximum out of your hair and leaves it soft, silky and shiny. U should also try a shea butter mask sometime.

Aloe vera gel is great...you can also find this in butters, lotions or other products you may use. It's great for your texture, and makes your hair look wonderful.

Any aloe is good for the hair. Shea butter is too. I would use them both. I would think that the butter would be lighter on the hair then the gel.

It depends on what u want it for. The aloe butter is going to be a better moisturizer, but some ppls hair prefer butters over oils or vice versa. The gel is a non-drying hold and not about adding moisture to your hair.
