Dye's not really good for anyone's hair when you think about it. But with African-Americans it can have a harsher affect on hair because our hair is sensitive but if you deep condition it and keep your hair as healthy as possible you should be ok.

Try the beautiful collection from sally beauty..it is really mild but it only adds color it wont lighten at all..
