What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

I currently use Optimum's conditioner which also works as a detangler and have used Paul Mitchell's conditioner/detangler. I don't want to keep using them all the time, I'd like to switch it up a bit. What are some detanglers or conditioner/detanglers that work really well and will not break off my hair?

What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

I used to use Motions Leave in Conditioner which doubled as a detangler. But as of now, I use Pantene Relaxed and Naturral products and the conditioner works as a detangler also. I like their products, it helps my relaxer last longer.

A RAZOR, ask Michael Jordan !!!

What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

try cream of nature shampoo/conditioner it's a great detangler!! i used it on my hair it works very well!!

What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

It's good to change the shampoo and conditioner every 3 months or so. Try to stay away from chemicals if at all possible. They tend to dry the scalp over time.

Herbal shampoos and conditioners are great for all types of hair; like Herbal Essence.

Before washing, like the night before, try soaking your hair and scalp with Extra Virgin Olive oil overnight or for at least 8 hours. It will make your hair shiny and soft.

What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

I use mane n tail detangler. it works well

What's the Best Detangler for African-American Hair?

My favorite way to begin the detangling process is to use a generous amount of Northwest Scents hair conditioner (made with coconut oil and lots of moisturizers) on my hair when I am washing it, and to comb it out in individual sections, beginning at the ends, and working my way down to the roots. For information about Northwest Scents hair conditioner visit www.nwscents.com. It is formulated for black hair and is very gentle and moisturizing.

What are some tips that will make hair grow? (African American hair)?

Limit your use of heated hair appliances, they tend to dry out the hair and make it dull, damage and then eventually break off. Use a wide tooth comb and use a naturall bristle brush, do not over comb or brush your hair this causes the hair to stretch and then snap off. Do not use rubber bands in your hair. always wrap up your hair every night and use a silk scarf to sleep with. silk does not dry out the hair like other materials. Shampoo and condition your hair every 10-14 days. Always use a hair dressing that contains natura herbs, vitamins and minerals. Message your scalp with the balls of your fingers with the hair dressing, this will stimulate the hair follicles which helps the blood to circulate which promotes hair growth. Stay away from products that contains beeswax, alcohol. mineral oil, petroleum jelly.

What are some tips that will make hair grow? (African American hair)?

I work at a beauty supply store and we carry all kinds of products that help keep the hair from breaking off. All of them work the pretty well. However, there aren't any products in this store that literally makes your hair grow. Hair grows from the instead of your body and nothing that you put on your head is gonna make it grow faster. Its just the nature of the beast.

Solution: Prenatal vitamins or any old multi-vitamin. Prenatal vitamins just have a little extra of everything in them.

You should consider braids over a perm, because its much healthier.

Recommendations for hairsylist in Reno for African-American hair?

I have been living here for 3 years %26amp; have gotten tired of going all the way to Cali to my old hairstylist to get my hair done. Does anyone know of a salon that does extensions as well as traditional relaxers? Thanks!

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

At this moment I don't have access to a hot comb or straightening iron, just a brush and some leave in conditioner. I must leave the house but not like this any quick ideas.

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

African American women are beautiful. I think Shari Belefonte has the best hair style. It's easy, healthy, and shows off her beauty! Good luck!

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

apply the conditioner and brush through hair throughly (mostly in front), pull into pony tail, then grab a scarf wrap it around your head then when you're ready to go take it off and it'll be in a nice neat bun b/c of the pressure from the scarf on the hair combined with the conditioner (gel is better).

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

Get it relaxed.

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

Braid it??!

Need to do something with my hair. Any ideas. African-American hair?

dampen it ,put braids in ,you could use some conditioner, leave in the braids for a little while then take em out.It bshould give it a cute little wavy curl look.I do that sometimes when i'm in a hurry. How the hell did you end up somewhere with no iron? You better straighten it wit the iron and start wrappin it at night .thats nwhat i do.You don't have to perm it if you take care of it.Don't let that happen again, we black women have to be prepared especially when it comes to our hair.Step your game up girl!!!!! I'm just playin, good luck

How do I get long, healthy african american hair that's relaxed?

Your hair is going to grow at it's normal speed, nothing will actually make your hair grow faster, but you can make conditions that promote healthy hair.

1. Wash every one to two weeks depending on your hair state

2. Wait at least 6 weeks before getting a relaxer, if you can go longer, go longer [use relaxer kits, they tend to be softer on hair and come with the right shampoos and conditions you need for that time. Use Organic Root Stimulator, and Soft and Beautiful Botanicals. Make sure that a professional does this job though]

3. Use organic root stimulator products. [Carrot and Olive Oil work well, but find one suited to your needs]

4. Trim regularly [ESP. if your ends start to fray out. Trimming makes hair look thicker]

5. Take vitamins and minerals that promote healthy hair

6. Avoid flat ironing frequently, and air dry if possible [Use rollers instead]

7. Cover hair at night time with a bonnet

8. Use a deep conditioner every 4 weeks, and a leave in conditioner and setting lotion every week

9. If you get color, get semi-permanent. Don't take color chances with your hair

10. Drink lots of water

11. If you wear ponytails, take it out when you get home and let your hair breathe. Constant tightness is hard on the hair. [always use fabric covered hair bows]

12. Use a headband to tame and cover naps between perm time. [Avoid using gels, they create product build up. If necessary, use Let's Jam!]

good luck!

How can I spike my short african american hair?

I have been told if you mold it , sit under the dryer to dry , then add gel while running your finger through it will work. I want a cute funky messy spike do like Nia Long, or Melinda Williams. someone told me to also try ceramic flat iron. Can someone please tell me a step by step process? , I am really bad at the hair thing. Thanks

How can I spike my short african american hair?

Wash iit, blow dry it, take some jel and mold it into spikes, then take some sprites and flat iron it. Or you can go to a hair dresser that can show you

How can I spike my short african american hair?

you need v05 extreme hold hair gel!!! It's tough stuff and you don't need a dryer to hold it, its like cement but washes out well!!!

How can I spike my short african american hair?

Get a short hair cut, leave the top a little longer than the sides and the back. The longer pieces use point cutting technique to make it peicey. You wont even have to use any gel or any product, just run your fingers through it and go. Thats how my hair is cut and for more of a funky effect get a wild color.

How can I spike my short african american hair?

straighten it with a hot comb, then use "let's jam(extra strength)" to spike it, then sit under the dryer for 20 mins, thatll do it!

Do Redken products work well with African-American hair??

To be honest, I prefer AVEDA products for African American hair. The natural ingredients and the use of NON-ALCOHOL based products have been a real winner with my clients. I like the results that I have achieved with these products over the years.

Do Redken products work well with African-American hair??

No, they tend to work only with hair that is naturally fine in texture.

Do Redken products work well with African-American hair??

No they do not work with African American Hair Go to a salon and purchase CHI Products Unbelievable results with these products. I am a Cosmotologist for 30 years and these are remarkable.Reason why they do not work is because they are not heavy formulated to lay down this type of hair.

Do Redken products work well with African-American hair??

ummm ya it should the first guy is ******* worog well im black and i have really thine fine hair so it pretty can go though anyhting but i still go to the salon but yes you can use redken if you go to redken.com you see they have products for black hair ( relaxed hair) lol %26lt;3

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

Try to leave your hair alone as much as possible. Like cornrows/braids or something will help. Don't get micro braids, they damage your hair. And when getting braids, don't leave them in too long. It is best to leave them in for maybe 2 weeks or so. Maybe a couple days longer.

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

just let it grow

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

Grease your hair everynight with "doo gro" "medicated hair vitalizer", its an anti thinning formula. along with that i also use doo gro, mega thick anti thinning growth lotion. it thickens and strenghtens hair, helps split ends, detangeles....

these products are great because they contain shea butter and beeswax

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

I can suggest biotin vitamins. i have been taking them for about 2 weeks i have seen a big difference in my hair. GNC also has some vitamins called NourishHair. check out this link:

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

just take care of it and love it

What can I do to my (african american) hair to help it grow faster?

GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.

Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.

If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourishair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

If you go to www.drugstore.com and search for this product "Nourishair", you can read customer reviews from people who used it, and many of them are African American women who love the product.

Whats the best weave technic for african american hair?

Hiya, try these links, hope they help!!

Whats the best weave technic for african american hair?

Get it sewn in. If you get it glued you risk hair breakage.

Whats the best weave technic for african american hair?

I'd say not to weave your hair...natural is better!

Whats the best weave technic for african american hair?

Hello Sweetest, there are alot of people that can do your weave but i think that if you are getting a weave it should be a sewed in weave, because these are done with your hair cornrowed, then the weave is sewed on to your braided hair. please do not get a glued weave because for one your hair is out so that means that there is no protection from the hash curling irons that you would have to use everyday. then second the glue is attacth to your scalp so there is no room for your scalp to breath. then when you take it out of your hair you will lose alot of hair because you would now have to get it off your scalp the best way you know how and this would be through out your whole head please do not get this please. oh and by the way having a sewed in weave is natural msrdbone.

Are Hot oil treatment beneficial for African American hair?:?

Have you used them before?

Are Hot oil treatment beneficial for African American hair?:?

Hot oil treatments are good for your hair and I use them all the time. Our hair tends to get really dry, especially in the winter. Hot oil treatments replenish the hairs oil and can temporarily relieve dandruff. I recommend them to everyone because they are good at repairing damage too.

Are Hot oil treatment beneficial for African American hair?:?

Not very. Go to the beauty supply or salon near you, and get a good product.

Are Hot oil treatment beneficial for African American hair?:?

Yes, they are a staple for afro hair because we have the dryest hair by nature. Olive oil or coconut oil are both very good oils to use as a hot oil treatment. They provide the needed moisture for our hair.

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

Preferably(sp) someone with experience...i really want my hair to grow!!!

: D

thank ya.

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

Well, there are many types of coconut oil. Let me share to you some info.

Using 'refined' coconut oil is somewhat good for your type of hair, it can moisturise your hair, but it would not last long because of the nutrients lost during process.

I think you should use 'virgin' coconut oil. As for my experience and with my type of hair (Asian, wavy and very exposed to elements), it did not only moisturise my hair, but also protects it from potential damage from excessive styling and environmental stresses. That means, you can protect your hair from breakage to keep your hair growing long.

Virgin coconut oil is produced in the Philippines only, so look for some vendors of it on eBay or any other site.

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

olive oil works best..........................

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

It's a nice moisturizer for the hair, which can help prevent damage, but it's not going to make hair grow any quicker.

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

I use coconut oil all the time. It must be pure though. Coconut oil has made my hair very manageable. I am black and jewish. Are you trying to grow hair? If so, take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day for its 93 vitamins and minerals. Hair and nails will grow. Lose weight with vinegar too. Take the same remedy, but before a meal. Vinegar also cures depression, acne, and aids digestion. I use both products all the time. I also use the coconut oil on my face too.

Does using coconut oil on hair have quick results for African American hair? or any hair? how quick?

Coconut Oil is a natural oil that can supply vital nutrients to your hair. Hair generally does not grow, or breaks, because it lacks the natural oils needed to moisturize the strands. Thus, coconut oil, specially cold pressed, virgin coconut oil, can help your hair growth.

However, coconut oil alone will not be enough to grow your hair.If you really want your hair to grow fast you will need a great hair growth regimen, which consists of three components: a healthy eating plan, substantial water intake, and a high quality hair growth and hair care product.

Step One: Buy a High Quality Hair Growth Product

Unnatural hair care products are a no-no for someone who wants long-lasting, healthy hair growth. Find a hair growth product that contains powerful essential oils, natural herbs, and vitamin rich nutrients your hair needs to survive. Look for products with ingredients such as: Aloe Vera, Neem, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Rosemary, and Sage. Make sure you stray away from all natural products that use natural extracts. Extracts are not as powerful as essentials oils. They are a cheap substitute for the real thing. Although there are several natural hair care products on the market, not all hair growth products are created equal. Make sure you read the fine print. Most 閳ユ笜atural閳?products still contain phosphates, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum, mineral oil, and other lab created humectants that ultimately damage your hair. My advice---if you can閳ユ獩 read the ingredients, don閳ユ獩 buy the product. When I was searching for a natural hair growth products for my clients, I found one really great buy, Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth System. The system includes hair growth vitamins, a great hair healthy eating plan, and even scalp stimulating hair growth exercise routine. You can find it easily at www.discoverb4a.com.

Step Two: A Healthy Hair Eating Plan

Your hair is all protein. Thus, you need a protein rich diet, chocked fill of B Vitamins and other hair-strengthening nutrients. Increase your intake of fish. It is full of healthy proteins and essential fatty acids and natural oils your hair needs. In addition, drink a protein supplement or shake everyday.

Step Three: Drink Water

Eight to ten glasses of water is an absolute requirement. Drinking water flushes your body of toxins, chemicals, and impurities that stifle your hair growth and disrupt your hormone and enzyme imbalances.

What is the symbolic meaning of african american hair?

I come from a family that has many cultures blended into one, in other words AMERICAN. The hair seems to be tied more to binding the family unit, much like a salon, you talk, bond, and grow closer. And at the same time you are learning how to do your children's hair, which is why I feel a little down when I see my generation lacking and grandparents having to pick up the tab.

What is the symbolic meaning of african american hair?

pubic hair can grow on your head if you think too much of sex.

What is the symbolic meaning of african american hair?

Hair like sheep's hair is that given by Allah to "his" sheep who "he" leads out of the wilderness and into the glorious nature's bounty and they live as they should do so.

Is this what you mean by your question about symbolic meaning of African-American hair, I hope so!

Thank you for asking this question and giving me the generous chance to win th 2 points for answering it. Could be you may even think that my answer is the one you are looking for the most and then You could even decide that I do give you my Best Answer for 10 points here.

Thank you very much

What is the symbolic meaning of african american hair?

Hmmm.... well, as a blond haired white woman the one thing that leaps to mind is that natural african american hair is the direct opposite of 'pretty white girl hair' i mean, Black Barbie is a pretty recent invention. I have seen that black women are pressured to get their hair to look more 'white' and its hard to do that! For a long while being called 'nappy headed' was a real insult that basically meant 'you have natural black hair' ....am i making sense? like in America there is such pressure to blend with the hegemonic group...which is not 'nappy headed' hell Italians feel this pressure too! lol

What is the symbolic meaning of african american hair?

Things don't have a symbolic meaning by themselves. People give symbolic meaning to things. In that sense, hair has been given a symbolic meaning in many ways. Men wearing long hair was related to freedom and non compliance. Short hair in men is usually related with formality. Black people in the USA started wearing an "Afro" look during the 60's as a way to demonstrate that "black is beautiful", in other words, as a symbolic way to strengthen their identity. You will always find that people tend to use their hair in a way that relates to their ideals and personality, so we "say" things with it.

What is the best perm for African American hair?

DesignEssentials, Affirm, Mizani, Creme of Nature, Optimum, and Motions. Try to follow that with a deep conditioner afterwards. It will help your hair have more bouce and moisture.

What is the best perm for African American hair?

I have a lot of experience with perming my own hair from college and from living overseas. I recommend Vitale perm if you are giving yourself a relaxer at home. It's great for sensitive scalps also. I always give my scalp and edges a good base for extra protection.

When I go to the salon my hairdressers have used Revlon Creme of Nature Perm or Mizani perms. Mizani products tend to be a bit more expensive.

What is the best perm for African American hair?

i like profectiv alot, it's easy to use and doesn't burn. it doesn't dry your hair out like other perms do

What is the best perm for African American hair?

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

does it help it grow what about the conditioner too ?

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

I don't think a given hair product can "make hair grow" though the company may make such claims. I think the key to making your hair grow is using a product which contains hair/scalp stimulators (such as peppermint, rosemary, tea tree oil) and taking either a multi-vitamin or an Omega 3 tablet daily.

I havent heard very much about creme of Nature shampoo, but I do know that Fantasia has a line called Naturals Tea Tree and it comes in a shampoo, conditioner and a scalp serum. I've used the shampoo and conditioner and it is wicked, I loved it. But if you have a perm in your hair at the moment, you might want to put using this product off until you have to have a touch up as this shampoo really rids your hair of impurities (including the perm).

There's also a brand called Organic Root Stimulator and it's good quality products, and judging by its name, I would assume that it might aid in hair growth. Good luck

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

I dont know because I never paid attention when I used it but my brother used it when he had braids along with oiling his scalp with indian kemp and his hair caught up to mine in no time and my hair is to the middle of the back....might be the shampoo might be the genes but it wont hurt to try. I think as long as you take care of your hair then it will grow, no matter what shampoo you use. Also, my cousin uses motions and doesnt blow dry her hair just lets it dry in a pony tail and her hair has also grown tremendously so you could try that

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

Creme of Nature is a good product, however, your hair is not going to grow just from using it. Implementing the shampoo and conditioner into your hair routine may help.

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

Yes, they make great relaxers. plus use doo-grow hair grease! Its very light and make ya hair really grow!!

Does creme of nature shampoo makes african american hair grow?

Hi. No, shampoo and conditioner dont make your hair grow. The proper nutrients from your body nourish your hair to grow. If you take a multivitamin, brand name One a day or generic theyre both the same, and a separate hair vitamin such as GNC healthy hair skin and nails, those two vitamins will give you the nutrients you need for your body and hair. Eating more fruits and veggies and drinking more water is key. People who dont drink lots of water always complain of dry hair.

I dont really like Creme of Nature nor any other products that have lots of chemicals in it. Have you ever realized that black hair care products have mineral oil and petroleum, which retards our hair growth and clogs our scalp pores? Yuk. I have switched to changing to products with less or no chems in it and my hair has thanked me for it. I will not go back to those chem products. You could try that. Here are websites that have those products.

You know, they used to advertise Wild Growth hair oil for black people. I have looked it up and seen that it uses all natural oils in it, which I never knew until now. That works too, but its thick.

This is just extra info I gave you. Take it in good health. Hope this helps. God bless.

Can one recommend a product for African American hair that is a heat protectant, glossifier,%26amp; everything else?

Have you tried hair glazes? You can get clear ones or colored ones. They protect the hair and make it very shiny and glossy. If you keep up the treatments, over time they can really help lay down the cuticle of your hair, which helps give it shine and less frizz. John Frieda has one out that's around $10 at WM. You should get more than a few treatments out of one bottle. Use the dry hair application. It works best.

Hope this helps!

Got more questions?

Can one recommend a product for African American hair that is a heat protectant, glossifier,%26amp; everything else?

Yes! it is Silicon mix by Avanti. I haven't been to my hair dresser for a year now. My hair was completely damaged. I used to get braids and weaves and they tore my strands apart. i have been using silicon mix for about a year now and my hair is the bomb. I get compliments all the time about the bounce, shine and smell. You can find this product on line @ roundbrushhair.com. It is a Dominican hair product. I wash my hair once a week I apply the conditioner and cover it with a plastic cap and sit under my hooded hair dryer for fifteen minutes on medium. I rinse with warm water and I dry my hair with a hand dryer. I dry it piece by piece with the dryer placed on my hair for shine and bounce. If you need any more tips feel free to e-mail me.

Can one recommend a product for African American hair that is a heat protectant, glossifier,%26amp; everything else?

My favorite things to use are all Silk Elements products. They work really well!!! And aren't expensive. To block heat damage, just use a small amount of hair wax when you flat iron, blow dry, or etc. That also gives quite the finish if you use the right amount, and not too much. Sally's Beauty supply sells it very cheap, and it works. (My big jar was like 2.50 or something) Kemi oil is another great product!!! I like to put it on my hair when I know I'm going to be sweating, because it keeps the frizz down to a minimum and gives hair a nice shine. Good luck!!

Can one recommend a product for African American hair that is a heat protectant, glossifier,%26amp; everything else?

Yes. Try Kera Kare. They have so many products for all African American hair types.

Here's a link at really great offers. Jcpenney hair salons carry this product also. WalMart may carry this and some Targets with hair salons. Also don't forget Sally's Beauty stores. I use the glossifier and creme satin hairdress. I have three types of hair grades. (All those nationalities) Lol; Good Luck!

Is Garnier Fructis A Good Product For African-American Hair?

Isn't it annoying typing the first letter in every word a capital?

Oh, and yes it's a good product but just remember there's no magic product yet.

Is Garnier Fructis A Good Product For African-American Hair?

I feel your pain. Although I am not African-American, I have REALLY thick, curly hair. I haven't tried Garnier Fructis, but I would reccomend Sunsilk Anti-Frizz...it doesn't do SOOO much for the actual frizz, but it helps make curly hair A LOT more manageable. I'm curious to see if people would reccomend Garnier..who knows, I might just try it next =)

Is Garnier Fructis A Good Product For African-American Hair?

I don't think that Garnier Fructis is a good product for anyone

A great shampoo for African American hair (so my friend says) is the Pantene in the brown bottle.

I'm smelling her now and she smells pretty good and her hair looks nice, so I say go with that one!

Is Garnier Fructis A Good Product For African-American Hair?

my hair is pretty fine, and in my experience garnier fructus is okay. fyi, herbal essences dries my hair out, AND to get your hair extremely soft and silky i recommend 'inner science' shampoo, conditioner and hairspray. i may not have african-american hair, but when i was younger i dyed it too much, it became straw like and rough, but inner science brought it back to its original silkiness.

What oils and cremes work well on African American hair?

I wanted to try wild growth oil but i dont know if it is worth it or not.I am using a oil by Proclaim..I have micros right now so I really need to keep my hair moisturized or my hair will break because my hair seems to always be dry.(in or out of braids)

What is the best way to press african-american hair. What are the best straightening products for bl

I have had relaxers in the past and somehow or another my hair ends up overprocessed. I've complained several times, with no results. Now I want to start pressing my hair instead of getting locks.

What is the best way to press african-american hair. What are the best straightening products for black hair.

Hot combing it works really well. You'll have to touch it up maybe once or twice a week, but I think Hot Combs are the best way.

You can also get a ceramic hair straightnening iron. Not as smooth as a hot comb, but you just plug it in and use it like a curling iron. Conair makes a good one.

But why are locks your only alternative. You can be natural and not have locks. I like to wash my hair and leave conditioner in you hair. It makes you hair really soft, and you can have a tame natural look.

What is the best way to press african-american hair. What are the best straightening products for black hair.

get it chemically relaxed at a salon and then get a small 1/2 inch ceramic straitener for straitening every day

What is the best way to press african-american hair. What are the best straightening products for black hair.

i just use a perm.....but try olive oil products they make your hair grow or if your hairs thin try just for me that doesnt work for my hair but it used to.LOL AND A WRAP THEY WORK GOOD.

What is the best way to press african-american hair. What are the best straightening products for black hair.

Try going to the salon. They always manage to get my hair straight. Without over processing it.

Sista, keep it natural, you'll be so happy you did later on.

Drinking straws and setting lotion for African American hair.?

I heard you can use drinking straws and setting lotion for an Afrocentric style. Do anybody know anything about this, what kind of setting lotion to use. how do you do it, how does it work?

Drinking straws and setting lotion for African American hair.?

yes you can use drinking straws to get the curly fro look! Use Motions Foam Setting wrap lotion! Section your hair while it's wet into small portions like your gonna braid it. Then wrap your hair around 1 straw downward! keep doin that until the portion of your hair is completely around the straw! Keep doin your whole head or the part you want curled! After your finished with putting the straws in sit under a dryer until your hair is completely dry! After it's all dry take the straws out and finger the curls out! Your done!

Drinking straws and setting lotion for African American hair.?

Go to sallys and get setting lotion i forget what its called but its purple, its like 2.99 get some straws wet your hair towel dry it saturate it in the lotion wrap small sections around the straws like you would a curling iron. you can get little metal clips to hold it on,they have those at sallys too. You have to let them dry completely them take em out you'll have cork screwed hair, put a scarf on at night so it won't flatten or frizz.

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

Not sure read some hair tips and more on this site

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

Start from the root to the edges, without touching your scalp. Straight your hair with a comb but just once. Don't keep on stretching it or it will break. Wait for 15 minuts or time specified on product, wash it, use a good conditioner and style it. Good luck.

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

Honestly you should go to a professional to have that done. and if you are a cosmetologist asking you should go to a class. It is to damaging to the hair to mess around with.

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

read the instructions very carefully. if necessary, let a professional do it. the chemicals are nothing to work with if you are uncertain. cb56br forgot to mention that you NEED to use a neutralizing shampoo. when you wash the product out. this is crucial or you will just damage the hair. please be careful

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

Nothing like a good massage to make you relax!

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

"African american" doesnt imply you are '"black''. You could be a white man from south africa for all we know.

How to apply a relaxer on african american hair?

Read the instructions very carefully. I would strongly suggest you go to a salon and have it done professionally or get someone who knows what they are doing to put it in for you. If you do something wrong, you could end up with broken off hair, bald spots, burns in your scalp and damaged hair.

The cream is not to be applied to your scalp, hopefully you did not comb into your scalp or dig into your scalp from scratching. That will cause your scalp to burn!! ewwwww!!

The best thing for your hair, is to stay or be natural with the beautiful kinky hair we were BLESSED with!! I am speaking from experience. I am natural and this is the best thing I have ever done to my hair.

I had to learn to be natural with my hair and I love it!! No chemicals here anymore anymore!!

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

It is not good for any hair....it has a plastic base and just coats the hair and is not good for it

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

yes. its not good to think of hair as "ethnic", but by texture, some blacks have fine curly hair others have thick coarse hair....

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

yes

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

Yes, I am mixed blk/wht...and i love it...i used the shampoo for wash and the leave in condiction for...well you would know right...It gives nice soft hair,,,and pretty sheen...use it...you'll love it.

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

yes, but sparingly. ethnic hair is typically dry. deep conditioning and moisturizing hair care products are great for protecting the strands and keeping them healthy. i would advise against washing ethnic hair more than twice a week as the excessive cleaning can leave the scalp and shaft dry, flaky and prone to breakage.

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

it sure can

Can Infusium 23 be used on African American Hair?

Yes I used it all the time.

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

I was thinking using a detangler, whats the best one to use, and should i apply it before or after? Would the detangler get rid of frizz? Whats the best thing to keep my natural curls not frizzy or pouffy while swimming?

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

* Get extensions and bind it together.

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

Use a Hair Masque [spelled like that] the night before you go swimming, it will help keep the frizzy's and stuff away as well as repair any damage such as split ends [like I had before I started using it] :)

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

I'm not really sure what you can do for that but my best bet would be to use the detangler before swimming. Usually I just wear braids.

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

Wear a swim cap, unfortunately.

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

its best to get braids, or at least wear a pool cap to cover ur hair

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

Put your hair up into something that might not do much damage. But if you are still not so sure about it try going to any salon. They might just give you amazing ideas and tell you what to do.

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

pull it back into a braid or a tight pony tail. b4 going into the pool use a holding gel, it will keep moisture out while u swim. its best to cover it with a cap. when u get out apply dudley's cream or a hot6oil or bb to ur hair after washing it out. afew days b4 swimming, treaat ur hair with olive oil and it will be preserved so it wont be as bad when u swim

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

I know ive seen advertisements 4 wat ur talkin bout but i cant remember, u shuold maybe consult a hair expert, or just wear a swimming cap. - Not very stylish, but it does the job!

Whats the best way to keep African American hair from getting frizzy and pouffy while your swimming?

There is not really an answer for that because......if you get into the water then chemicals in your hair is going to go into the water............but to contain frizz out of water ...........

there is frizzees or (wat ever)

oils

Gels(yes AFRICAN AMERICANS can use gel too)

Thats about it srry

What is the best relaxer for African American hair?

I am considering changing my relaxer. I've been using Motions and I really do not like it. Its burns more then it use to and I do not like the fact that it has lye in it. Someone recommended TCB, but I am not too familiar with this product. What do you think?

What is the best relaxer for African American hair?

If you have strong hair that is really course, I would reccomend Dark n Lovely perms. They are lye free and leave your hair soft and moisterized. If your hair and scalp are sensitive, then try a kiddie perm like Just for me. It may sound ridiculous but I use Just for me if i know i've been scratching in my hair and i don't want to burn. Its super gentle on your hair and it gets the nappiest hair straight!!!

What is the best relaxer for African American hair?

we use ISO in the salon, but we were talking and one of the girls has used a rusk relaxer she said that it works really well and it leaves your hair feeling very conditioned.

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

or towel dry?

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

Depends on the condition of your hair. Remember African American hair craves moisture and blow drying can dry your hair out. But usually you can do do both. First, towel dry your hair lightly to get the excess water out. Next, put some kind of moisturizer lotion and anti frizz serum on your hair before you blow dry to protect it from heat. Make sure the blow dryer is on a low setting, not high and about 2-3 inches from the hair. It is better to use a large toothed comb. Remember our hair is fragile and sensitive, so you can't do it everyday. (Invest in a bonnet cap hair dryer is great as well, Target has them for like 30 dollars.)

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

i dont think it makes any difference

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

yeah, but make sure that you have some sort of product in your hair before you blow dry it. african american hair is naturally weaker than any other form of hair because of it's curliness so you have to preserve the hair strand with a heat protectant so that the heat from the blow dryer will not hurt the hair from the inside out

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

I've wondered this about white people's hair too.

I think it just depends on your hair texture. The moisture in it, etc. etc.

I know many girls of various race's that have to blow dry their hair or it is completely unmanigable and stay's wet for like 8 hrs. And on the other hand, I know gals who can't blow dry because if frizzes them up and causes massive breaks and split ends.

So, good luck. I'm curious too.

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

Actually applying heat to african-american (Black) hair or any hair type is essentially BAD for the hair because it weakens it. It's best to let the hair air dry, but if you need to blow dry it, don't do it so often. Make sure to put in moisturizer to preserve the oil within the hair before you begin so it doesn't damage too easily .

Is is best to blow dry african american hair?

It is ok to blow dry african american hair, but not everyday. Our hair is naturally dry and weak, and it needs a lot of moisture and protection. I would make sure to put heat protector before blow drying and putting heat on it! I will blow dry my hair, but if I have time i will let it partially air dry, that way if I do blow dry, its not on my hair as long. I would also recommend blow drying on a lower setting! It make take longer, but it is far less heat directly on the hair. Ive noticed a difference in my hair since letting it partially air dry. My ends and hair arent as dry as before!

Is Pantene A Good Product For African-American Hair?

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

my hair is about 2 inches long. Im trying to see what it will look like before I invest my time and money in getting my hair textuarized professionally. If you can post the pictures or the links.

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

halle with short hair.

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

NICE IF YOU HAVE A SHORT CUT.

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

It will look okay as long as the person knows what they are doing. Too much can cause you to look bushy or fried. Like you have alot of broken off pieces.

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

YOU WILL NOT LOOK LIKE HALLE WITH SHORT HAIR UNLESS YOU ARE 1/2 WHITE. ON ANY TEXURZIER BOX WILL BE A PHOTO OF SOMEONE WITH SHORT texturized hair. go to a pharmacy and take a look.

Can anyone tell me how my african american hair will look texturized?

a texturizer looks different on all different hair types. all a texturizer is is a mild relaxer used to loosen your natural curl pattern. in order to work you hair should have some curl in it to begin with. if you have kinky textured hair with strands look like tightly wound spirals at textures would be good for you. If you have kinky textured hair with strands that look more zig zaged shaped or tightly crimped, the textueizer would make ur hair look more frizzy straight then curly. you should watch the process to rinse it out when you hair gets to the desired looseness of curl. depending on your hair type you could get curl as tight a p diddy had back in the day or as loose as eva pigford or ginuwine.

Is temporary dye ok for african american hair?

Dye's not really good for anyone's hair when you think about it. But with African-Americans it can have a harsher affect on hair because our hair is sensitive but if you deep condition it and keep your hair as healthy as possible you should be ok.

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair

within the length of two weeks i will perm *relax* and dye my hair i usually use optimum *the best...i reccomend it* but they didnt have it so im using dark and lovely which is from the same company...softsheen-carson anyway i will be perming my hair tommorow and dying it jet black a week and a half later....as i have prom coming up june 8th then a couple of days after i dye it with clairol i will get a sew in weave.....braided and no i dont have bad hair....i barely have roots but want to perm it so the weave will look good and last.......my hair is in great condition just a little dry at the ends from wearing it in a bun for 2 days......the question is do you think my hair will worsen dramatically because of processing it so much.......i am going to leave the weave in for about month.....have you seen do this and have their hair get messed up or stay the same? please reply in detail thanks!!! ----class of '007----

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair within 2 w

Class of 07,

You've relaxed your hair, now its time for you to relax. I would suggest a deep condition and / or hot oil treatment after coloring. Give your scalp a gentle 10 minute massage and a gentle brushing before doing anything else. This will give you and your hair a natural sheen, glow and look. ImportantIy, you need to relax yourself so you wont stress out the hair before styling. Have Fun %26amp;Good Luck

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair within 2 w

that's wayyyy too much stress on your hair in a short period of time. you're definitely going to have some breakage if you do all of that.

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair within 2 w

your hair will get damaged with all those chemicals. dyes and perms dont mix well and extensions break and weaken your hair, you should ask your hair stylist first but remember that sometimes your hair is of secondary interest to your money for them.

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair within 2 w

That is a lot of processing on hair. If you really had to it ( I would not recommend it.) I would wait 2 weeks to actually dye your hair.

However a alternative option is to get a rinse for your hair. It's semi-permanent and you can you do it the same day as your relaxer.

I hope you are not doing this yourself. I believe any type of chemical processing ( relaxers, dyes) should be done by professionals only!

Hello...this is a question about the health of african american hair....i will dye and perm my hair within 2 w

HI,

I personally think your putting to much stress on your hair. your suppose to wait a minimum of 2 weeks before you dye your hair after a perm. i dont understand y would you would dye your hair jet black, and then after the prom, dye it again with Clairol dye? ..

Y dont you just get the sew in weave instead of perming your hair? Your not suppose to perm your hair and then get a weave on top of it. That causes more breakage. You said you barely have roots, and thats a number one indicator that you are overdoin your hair.

Leaving a weave in for a month is the longest I would leave one it, any longer and it will start to lift at the root and look like a wig.

I just dont see why you just wont get the weave for prom and style it and wear it for month after prom?

Your doing to much before prom to just get a weave as a result.

What are the best products for african american hair growth?

African American hair tends to be drier than other types of hair. For growing it, look for products that are gentle and moisturizing and made with natural vegetable oils. Avoid products made with petrolatum and mineral oil. These ingredients coat the hair, but do not moisturize it. Also avoid grain alcohol in your hair care products (vodka, or SD-Alcohol). Cetyl alcohol is fine. Grain alcohol strips the hair of moisture. There are many products out there to try. You just have to search for them. For me personally, Northwest Scents(TM) products have helped me to grow my hair. You can find out about them at http://www.black-hair-growth.info/black-...

I don't know the answer to your question, being brand new to Houston, myself. But the best way to find a hairdresser for any kind of hair is to find people whose hair you really like, and ask them where they got it done.

Go into salons which cater to black hair styles and have your hair shampoo-ed and styled. Get to know the hairdresser, let the hairdresser get to know you. A style can be changed if it doesn't work. After you have a good feeling about the hairdresser you've chosen, then let them cut or color your hair. In other words, take it slowly. If it just doesn't seem to click with the first one, go on to another one. Eventually you will find someone who you can work with to achieve your goals.

Does Aussie shampoo work for African american hair?

Becaue I'm still looking for a shampoo to work for my hair. And I want to know so I can use it.

Does Aussie shampoo work for African american hair?

Technically, any shampoo should work if you are trying to clean your hair. Most shampoos have relatively the same cleansing ingredients but add different fillers for sudsing, fragrance, etc. Is your hair dry/damaged? Relaxed? Natural? Your best bet is to buy a shampoo based on your hair type (dry, oily, etc) then focus on a really good conditioner. Again, any shampoo will get your hair clean. However, if your looking for a recommendation I've always had a lot of success with Nexxus products (Botanoil and Therrappe Shampoos) as well as Aveda products (Rosemary Mint Shampoo). If these are too price, try the Suave shampoos for your hair type. Good Luck!

Does Aussie shampoo work for African american hair?

Girl no way. It is not for our texture of hair. It is for very fine hair. It actually makes your hair very thick puffy. It kind of takes away the moisture. Since white people need to wash out the oil its good for them not us. You can try motions. They have conditioner and hair grease and oil treatments. They make your hair grow and it feels light and healthy. I know i used to use it until i started goin to the hair salon.

Does Aussie shampoo work for African american hair?

Yes all shampoos should be able to clean hair and you will not know until you try it to find out if it is suitable

Best bet would be to ask a salon stylist the next time you get something done to your hair

Does Aussie shampoo work for African american hair?

typical african american hair? no.

if you can find some MIZANI products try them.

please don't go to the grocery store or drugstore for shampoo. you have one head of hair and it's probably dry and coarse. you need to take care of it or it will break off - and the only way to get it back to healthy is to cut it off short.

SUPER SHORT. braiding it and using extensions will not make it healthy again. once it's damaged it's damaged; there's no fixing it.

this is the reason for a lot of african american women spend so much time (not to mention the $$$) on their hair and don't want it touched. no touching no getting it wet

I am Caucasion & was wondering if African American hair care products helped my hair also??

I am an African American female, I use some caucasion hair care products. So I would say yea, depending on what type you are speaking of. Shampoos, Conditioners, ... Yes.

As far as the relaxers, lyes, and dyes I would say no. Most of them are based on ethnic hair. Products like Motions, TCB, and Creme of Nature are based on all types of hair.

Hope this helps.

I am Caucasion %26amp; was wondering if African American hair care products helped my hair also??

there's a certain shampoo that's pretty good. it used to come in a red plastic bottle with yellow lettering. sorry, i cannot recall the name.

I am Caucasion %26amp; was wondering if African American hair care products helped my hair also??

I'm Caucasian and I've used that cholesterol that comes in a pink jar because I have really dry hair. It's good.

I am Caucasion %26amp; was wondering if African American hair care products helped my hair also??

Honestly, it depends on the thickness of your hair. I, myself, have very thin dry hair and they really didn't work for me. I tried Pantene Pro V "for women of color" (bronze bottles) and wasn't happy with what it did to my hair. It smelled WONDERFUL, felt silky on my hair as I shampooed it in, and rinsed without a problem. I didn't know anything was wrong until I went to blow-dry my hair. Though my brush went through my hair with ease, the added oils from the shampoo left my hair weighted down and it looked almost "greasy" like I hadn't even washed it. African American hair is much coarser than Caucasian hair and requires more oils/moisturizers to keep it soft and silky. What works great for their hair, doesn't tend to work for Caucasian hair. I've found that using a hot-oil treatment before using a regular moisturizing shampoo add the moisture my hair needs, without weighing it down.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

why we blacks have short hair about 70 precent.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

corn rolls wit a curl at the end it looks reel kool

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

micro braids

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

I have fairly long hair. All I to is keep my ends trimmed ( not a hair cut!) and no heat. I even perm my hair every month ( although i heard that isn't healthy). My hair is pretty decent! I get talked about for sporting the same roller wrap (hair style) for like 8 years now, but everything else will break or damage your hair! Roller Wraps, Sets or anything where direct heat is not applied to your hair is good to get it growing.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

Braids, hairpieces or a style that can be left alone for days and protected for some time. Massage scalp, don't use heat or gels. Eat healthy and exercise often. And don't forget plenty of water. Good Luck!

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

I do very little to my hair. I am an old school girl. I wash and press my hair still. I tried a perm years ago, but all my hair came out. Always remember, "less is better"

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

For yrs. I wondered about this and I am very happy to share this information with you. There is no hair style to promote hair growth. Hair growth starts from the inside out. I take Andrew Lessman skin, hair, and nail vitamins they can only be ordered on HSN website they are not available in stores. They contain Biotin and MSM. The ingredients are all natural. Do some research on the net about him and his vitamins so you can find out for yourself. There are other skin hair and nail vitamins over the counter you could use and prenatal vitamins also seem to have affect on people. Andrew Lessman vitamins work faster because they are all natural. Increasing your protein and drinking lots of water which hair follicle need should also help.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

We have the tendency to over stress our hair by combing it all the time. Especially if its permed or jeri curled (nonvirgin state).

Try braids or single plaits, try any hair style that lessen the amount of combing you do on a daily basis.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

I've been growing out my hair for the past year, mostly by keeping braids or weaves in. When my hair isn't under braids or weaves, I just get a press and curl and wrap it at night. I deep condition it and keep my ends trimmed every 6 weeks. So far my hair is just past my shoulder, previously it was at my ears. I also take a prenatal vitamen and drink a ton of water and eat healthy. Hope it helps.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

Any hairstyle that works with your natural hair and not against it is good for your hair. Personally, I'm sporting kinky twists that are shoulder-length. African-Americans like to use heat and chemicals, and dislike trimming split ends so a lot of us have short hair. Also, many of us have a maximum length that is short. Your hair will grow on its own, so your goal is to keep the hair you already have. In general, less is more. The more you mess around with your hair, the more likely it is to break off.

What is the best hair style 2 get African American hair growing?

Not all Blacks have short hair. Try braids or a weave. My hair is to my shoulders now...I have dreads.

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

I'm 16 years old and right now I have braids but it'll be time to take them out in about 2 months. I wanna wear my hair straight but I don't wanna get a relaxer again because after a while my hair gets really dry and breaks off. I once had long hair but it broke off because of a relaxer. I'm thinking about training my hair but I hear that it takes a while. Also, summer's almost here and I don't wanna sweat it out. What should i do and how long does it take to train hair?

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

Sedu flat irons are really good, they work great on all hair types.

What is your hair texture? is it fine, medium, course or what? Because if a relaxer is breaking your hair off then it's probably too strong for your hair type. Not all African-American hair is the same this is why they make different kinds of perms. If you have fine or medium texture hair then a very mild or child's perm is all you need and should work great and not break your hair off at all. Also if your hair gets really dry then you probably need to wash it and deep condition it more, at least once a week. Then use a good light moisturizer like Bio Silk to keep your hair from getting dry between washes.

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

you should get a perm thats what some girls do and it looks good and doesn't dry out or so they say

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

Wash it when you take out your braids, condition it really well, blow dry it, and use a Chi Iron to straighten it. Use a fair amount of oil sheen. It will look and feel you had your hair relaxed.

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

try pressing your hair

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

I would have my hair pressed for sure. Find a good salon or stylist that is careful and plan on weekly trips. You can have in salon conditioning done also while you are there. Best of luck.

What's the best way to straighten my African-American hair?

you should get a good flat iron but if your ahir is growing out its going to get curly again and poofy . so youd have to use more than once a day, why not just put them back in braids. itll be easy to care for and will help you natural hair grow out?

What is the best perm for African American hair that is not naturally straight and how do I get my h

Design Essentials, Affirm, Mani, Creme of Nature, Optimum, and Motions. Try to follow that with a deep conditioner after wards. It will help your hair have more bounce and moisture. always remember to keep up with your perm. only unless you are going to take excellent care of it other wise. it could fall out.

Most Black hair shops sell hair books/magazine that show literally dozens and dozens of super cute hairstyles along with instructions just in case your stylist can't figure it out at a glance. Some grocery/drug stores will sell these too, but only in certain areas.

What is the best hair weave for african american hair?

I'm assuming your talking about the brand.. some good brands are :

Sensationnel, Sensual, Bohyme, Black Diamond, Outre Premium, DreamWeaver, Ego, Saga by Milky Way

Stay away from the shake n go line from Milky way.

Tiffany is good too...

BUT: if ur talking about the texture, the BEST texture to use is perm yaky, because its more coarse and it looks more like our hair, instead of that silky bone straight european look

What is the best hair treatment for African American Hair?

I use "Just For Me" kids relaxer (Im 21, but Mixed, so I can't use the strong adult African-American perms because they break my hair.)

I also use "Motions CPR" Conditioning Treatment every week. After you wash your hair, use CPR, put a plastic cap on and sit under a hooded/bonnet hard-hat dryer for 10 mins, then wash it out. (This is Deep Conditioning) This is the BEST thing you can do for damaged hair...hint *CPR (Critical Repair and Treatment). It really does repair your hair and make it so much stronger and grow fast too. It also keeps your healthy even if it already is. It's great!!!

I get my hair straighten once every season (spring, fall, winter, summer) so thats also the same time I get my hair trimed. You need to trim your ends too. This is very important to slowly get rid of those dead/split ends which causes moisture lost.

Also our hair is made of protein (all protein), so you may want to look into your diet and make sure you are getting enough. Taking a women's multi-vitamin everday will make sure you are getting enough of it, along with calcium which our hair also loves. You have to take care of your hair from the inside and outside. Hair products take care of the outside. But you also have to check on the inside... your diet! to make sure your hair has what it even needs to grow and thicken.

My hair is so thick, healthy %26amp; long from taking care of it and using the products below. I'll give you the links. You can find all of this at Wal-mart, Sally's, or any Black hair store.

I hope this is helpful to you.

What is the best hair treatment for African American Hair?

1st) don't ask a white person. they don't know anything about african american hair even when they claim to. sorry but it's true!!! 2nd) not all hair treatment is best for everyone. go to a hair dress that you trust and one that uses more then one product. be sure to look at their work. also examine the hair dressers hair. if their hair is looking like crap, then yours will too. (great advice i got from my mom.)

What is the best hair treatment for African American Hair?

WELL I USE MANE %26amp; TAIL PRODUCTS SHAMPOO %26amp; CONDITIONER.

LUSTERS PINK OIL MOISTURIZER LOTION IN THE PINK AND BLACK BOTTLE AS MY HAIRDRESSING LOTION.

LUSTERS PINK OIL PERM KIT.

ISOPLUS OIL SHEEN IN THE BLUE CAN.

What is the best hair treatment for African American Hair?

Go to www.napptuarilty.com! The second thing I want to advise you to do is NOT PUT those harsh chemicals (PERMS, TEXTURIZERS, ETC) in your hair! Black women need to realize that ALL of our hair is Beautiful NATURAL! I use products by "Organic Root Stimulator" I use the Olive Oil Moisterizer and The Carrot Oil Conditioner. Also Stay way from Hot Combs and Flat Iron...all those do is Falsify what your hair really is ...and it misguides others to think that your hair is straight! Give that mess up if you want healthy hair! If you treat your hair with respect it will GROW LONGER THAN YOU"VE EVER IMAGINED!

What is the best hair treatment for African American Hair?

I'm going to pass along a hair care forum that has a lot of good advice from many African-American women about how they care for their hair. They offer great advice and support to those who are looking to get great looking hair. It's only $5/year to join this site.

Do white men like natural African American hair?

afros, locks, twists, etc. Just a question. I know that black men can relate to our hair, but I wonder about white men.

Thanks

Do white men like natural African American hair?

Hi,

I wanted to say that my husband is white (I wear locks). I asked him about this and here is what he had to say.

"In general, usually people like what they can identify with. I really like locks and braids and twists because I feel like those styles are different (he likes the texture, he says) but they're not so alien that I can't identify with them.

Afros are something that I struggle with appreciating however I have such an appreciation for chemical free (he means straightener-free) hair that I can't help but respect a woman who makes that decision."

I just wanted to add that my husband is not a *typical* white guy...hehe

So the answer is, Yes - some white guys do like the natural black hair.

Do white men like natural African American hair?

corn rows yea after that no

Do white men like natural African American hair?

i think its pretty cool.

Do white men like natural African American hair?

This is a good question. I'm glad you asked. I wonder what they think about braids............

Do white men like natural African American hair?

girl we like it and thats all that counts! u heard what he said bout them nappy headed hos!! lol hahahaha u askin to get chopped up by some loser on here. but they do have alot of questions like 'do u use cookin oil in your hair?'....um exscuse me!?

Do white men like natural African American hair?

It just depends on the person...

Do white men like natural African American hair?

I can't relate to it.

Do white men like natural African American hair?

I'm white, and personally I prefer it way over weaves and wigs.

Just look natural baby, God made you beautiful, why mess with it?

Do white men like natural African American hair?

I like anything but cornrows

Do white men like natural African American hair?

i am a white woman and i like when i see African Americans with their natural hair in all styles. I think it looks fake when you use straightener or dye it blond, i hate that. i have curly frizzy red hair, i don't dye it or straighten it, i just try to deal with it. it isn't easy, but it is better than fighting what creator gave me. LOL

i personally like it when my friend puts her hair in puffs, Afro piggy tails. i think she looks so spunky. i wish i could do that with my hair.

Have fun and love the hair you are in !!
