5 - Solia - THE BEST - price and features and effectiveness
4. Sedu features and effectiveness
4. Maxiglide features and effectiveness
3 CHI - effectiveness
3 Corioliss - effectiveness
I have used all except the Corioliss. From what I understand the Solia, Maxiglide and Sedu are the best in kinky, coily, curly hair. I prefer the Solia.
Check out reviews for each on http://folica.com also see what the ladies on these natural hair sites say about the best flat iron http://www.nappturality.com.
Hope this helps.

The brand itself doesn't matter as much as what the pklates are made out of. For your hair, a one inch wide, ceramic plate would work wonderfully.
good luck!

I personally have a Sedu and it gives me salon results and I have black hair. CHI, Solia, GHD, and Corioliss work just as well. Make sure to use a hair straightening protectant spray/serum and for our hair type, moisturizing and protein are key to healthy hair.
